I love glitter polish, but it's hard to remove and makes my nails dry so I hardly every wear it. I've seen this glue base coat all over Pinterest and more recently over at dot...dot...dot... and had to finally give it a try.
Step 1

Empty an old bottle of polish.
Step 2
Use a little remover to get every last bit of polish out of the bottle.
Step 3
Pour glue into the bottle with a few drops of water.
Step 4
Shake, shake, shake.
Step 5
Apply just like nail polish.
Mine went on a little thick. I think I need a different brush.
Step 6
Let it dry completely. It should be crystal clear.
Apply a second coat, paying extra attention to tips.
Step 7
Apply the glitter.
I used FIVE coats. That would normally be such a pain to get off.
Step 8
Use an orange stick to lift up an edge of the polish and it peels off so easy and fast.
Done
It took me less than a minute to remove and there was absolutely no damage to my nails. And it was kind of fun. Remember gluing your hands together in elementary school and peeling it off like skin all day. (No? Just me?) It was kinda like that. On another note, I didn't like that e.l.f. (unnamed) glitter polish at all. It had a horrible smell and took too many coats for good coverage.

That is a really cool idea! Glitter polish looks so awesome (and like a great idea), until it's time to remove it. :) How long did the polish last?

Hmmmm...very cool! I use Sally Hansen's remover for "dark" polish and it gets chunky glitter off really well. It doesn't cost any extra either, which is nice. But now that you've got the glue thing down, you're set! ;)

I freaking loved gluing my hands together. Maybe I'll do that tonight. On a Friday night. As a 35 year old adult. hahahahha

Neat idea. I was right there with you in elementary school. I loved to peel at glue. My only concern is that I was peel the polish off before I meant to. (Already a problem and I don't have super easy to peel polish.)
